Look, I know it’s important to stay at home to practice social distancing and help stop the spread of the novel coronavirus—but, DANG, it can get boring. I’ve already burned through Netflix, read a couple books, bathed my dog, buzzed my husband’s hair, cooked nonstop and washed the dishes about 100 times. I want to have fun (remember fun?!), which is why I was so excited to see that Aldi came out with a bunch of things in their May “Aldi Finds” to make staying at home way more enjoyable—including hammocks, cornhole boards, inflatable lawn games and more. Here are some things I’m dying to stock up on to make my backyard like an adult carnival: Giant Games aldi giant jenga Credit: Aldi These wooden four-in-a-row or wooden toppling blocks will remind you of Connect 4 and Jenga—but in mega-sized versions. These sets will be in stores starting on 5/20 and are $29.99 each. Bean Bag Toss aldi cornhole bean bag toss Credit: Aldi Cornhole used to be reserved solely for college tailgates—but not anymore! Whip up a batch of frozen margaritas and enjoy the sunshine while playing this old-school party game. The set is just $29.99 and hits Aldi stores on 5/20. 3-in-1 Splash Park aldi splash park Credit: Aldi Ok, so this technically isn’t for adults, but I’m not about to let someone tell me how to live my life. If I, a grown woman, want to slip and slide in my backyard, that’s exactly what I’ll do. And my dog will probably obsess over the kiddie pool. This also hits stores on 5/20 and costs $29.99. Hammocks aldi hammock Is there anything more relaxing than rocking in a hammock with a gentle breeze? Whether you’re working with a huge backyard or apartment patio, this is a must-have for warmer weather. They’re only $12.99 and will be in Aldi stores starting 5/27. Inflatable Basketball, Soccer or Bowling aldi soccer Credit: Aldi Gather your family for some friendly competition with these inflatable lawn sports. (Might I suggest the loser has to do the dishes?) The best part? Each of these inflatables is just $14.99 and will be in stores starting 5/20. Camping Tents aldi tent Credit: Aldi How fun would it be to set up this six-person tent in the backyard and have a family sleepover outside? (Or you could just bring your laptop and some popcorn for a movie night under the stars!) These tents are $49.99 and hit stores on 5/27. Kiddie Pool Aldi Kiddie Pool Credit: Aldi Whether you have little kids, pets or you just want to hop in a kiddie pool and soak up some sun (no judgement here), this 45" pool is perfect. And it’s just $7.99—score! Hanging Boho Chair Aldi Boho Hanging Chair Credit: Aldi These chairs would be so cute on a porch or patio. Not to mention, they’re an absolute steal at $39.99. They hit stores on 5/27, and you better believe I’ll be first in line to snag some. Unicorn or Llama Float Aldi Llama Pool Float Credit: Aldi If you’re lucky enough to have a pool in your backyard, you should probably scoop up one of these novelty floats. Not only will they bring a smile to your face, but they’re much cheaper than the other ones out there (these are only $19.99!). They’ll be in store shelves starting on 5/20.
