Let’s be honest: one of the biggest benefits of having plants is the cute pictures you get to take. My social media feed is full of artsy photos of my friends’ windowsills and gardens. Whether it’s their row of succulents or cute animal planters (like this sloth or this frog), seeing their photos makes me want to start a plant collection of my own. And the first one I want in my collection is Trader Joe’s new Lucky Llama Jade Plant.

Thanks to Instagram fan account @traderjolene, I discovered these adorable plants. Each plant includes a mini jade plant inside an llama-shaped container. The great thing about jade plants is that they’re super low maintenance. The plants just need full sunlight to thrive, which is perfect for a novice gardener like myself (you can learn more about jade plant care here). In addition to their easy care, jade plants also symbolize growth and renewal (and in a year like 2020, we could use all the help we can get!).

So the next time you’re at your local Trader Joe’s, keep an eye out for these llamas (and their returning skeleton yogi plants!). With this new llama plant, my collection is sure to be up and running in no time.
