Ask almost anyone and they’ll probably say their grandmother is the best cook they know. While that may be somewhat subjective, grandma’s kitchen is a place that holds special memories for many. I can easily recall making cookies with my grandmother and learning her secrets for how to flip a pancake (look for the bubbles around the edge). While I’ve attempted to recreate the dishes my grandmother taught me, one thing I can never seem to replicate is the warm and enticing smell of her kitchen. Luckily for me, I can stop pretending my cooking skills are on the same level as my grandmother’s and instead recreate the smell of her kitchen with Homesick’s “Grandma’s Kitchen” candle This candle is the perfect addition to any home with its warm and comforting aroma—and you can snag it for just $30. Featuring notes of butter, apple, cinnamon, clove, cookie, sugar, vanilla and tonka bean, it’ll smell like your grandmother just baked an apple pie. According to Homesick, the 13.75-ounce candle is made of soy wax and will burn for 60-80 hours. Social distancing is requiring us to spend a lot more time at home, so we’ll definitely be stocking up on our favorite scents to make our space a little cozier and bring back happy memories of our favorite things we’re missing right now (like traveling to new cities (or back to our home state), the beach and, my personal favorite, the library).
